Siemon Launches LightVerse High-Density Fiber Optic Cabling System
Siemon, a global network infrastructure expert, officially launched the LightVerse high-density fiber optic cabling system, designed to improve fiber network performance, manageability, scalability, and flexibility in data center and LAN environments. The system is available in multiple versions, including 1U Core, Plus, and 1U, 2U, 4U Pro, supporting up to 96 fiber terminations in a single rack unit and accommodating pre-terminated, field-terminated, and spliced deployment methods. The LightVerse system integrates front and rear cable managers, cable strain relief brackets, and multiple cable entry points, supports various connector types such as LC, MTP, SC, ST, FC, and features ultra-low loss connection capabilities and multiple industry polarity schemes. Tony Walker, Siemon's Global Fiber Product Marketing Representative, said: "As fiber becomes the dominant medium in data centers, LightVerse's user-centric design provides an ideal solution for customers to protect their network investments, balancing ease of installation with flexible expansion." The system supports transmission rates up to 400G and beyond, providing a solid technical foundation for current, emerging, and future application scenarios. In October 2022, Siemon further introduced the system to the Middle East market, demonstrating its global strategic layout.
Belden Launches DCX High-Density End-to-End Fiber Infrastructure Solution
Belden announced the launch of the DCX System, an innovative high-density end-to-end fiber infrastructure solution that offers built-in future-proofing for any data center. The system delivers extremely high fiber termination density in a very small footprint, supporting 3,840 terminations per DCX chassis, equivalent to 1,280 terminations per square foot. The DCX system maximizes signal integrity through bend radius control mechanisms, and its pull-out trays and ample connector clearance make patch cord management simple and easy. The system also supports multiple fiber termination methods and allows migration from 8- or 12-fiber pre-terminated adapter frame kits without infrastructure changes. Benoit Chevarie, Belden's Global Connectivity Product Manager, noted: "As fiber optics become increasingly prevalent in data centers, broadcast environments, and large venues, the DCX system provides a way to effectively manage the growing number of fiber connections, ensuring uptime and efficient operations."

LS Cable & System Launches Remote Cable Management System i-check
South Korea's LS Cable & System announced the commercialization of its remote-controlled cable management system, i-check. By attaching IoT sensors to cables, the system detects anomalies such as leakage current and overheating, preventing power outages and fires. Users can view cable status in real time via web and mobile devices and receive push notifications in emergencies. LS Cable also developed a digital method for managing cable information – scanning a QR code generated by the system provides access to cable maintenance history and remaining life estimates. The company stated that places such as petrochemical plants, hospitals, and traditional markets have an urgent need for such systems, as large-scale power outages and fires in these locations cause severe economic losses.
Telecent Automated Connectivity System Deployed at Quantum Maryland Data Center
Telecent signed a milestone agreement with Quantum Loophole to deploy Telecent's automated connectivity system at the Quantum Maryland data center campus. Telecent's system is a robotic patch panel that enables automated fiber management among enterprises, cloud service providers, network operators, and telecom carriers. The robotic system can manage more than 200,000 fiber connections simultaneously, using algorithm-driven robotic arms to flexibly move between fibers to connect, disconnect, and reconnect throughout the data center's lifecycle. The system supports remote, near-real-time service delivery, including on-demand bandwidth solutions and unattended interconnection capabilities. Josh Snowhorn, Founder and CEO of Quantum Loophole, commented: "With Telecent's automated cross-connect system, we can complete cross-connects in minutes instead of hours or days, with no human intervention required."
Navidi: Visual Management of Data Center Patching
At the 11th China Outstanding Data Center Summit hosted by the Data Center Sub-Association of the China Computer Users Association, Sun Tianyong, Product Director of Navidi, delivered a keynote speech titled "Visual Management of Data Center Patching." Sun pointed out that traditional patching management using spreadsheets and drawings cannot track the usage status and changes of cabling resources in a timely manner, lacks effective control measures, and easily leads to human-caused accidents and a large number of zombie cables. This patent-pending, industry-first dielectric system can connect drop cables to ADSS backbone cables or connect ADSS cables to an electrical neutral wire. Mark Boxer, OFS Technology Manager, said: "The Sherpa CMS system allows drop cables to use the same pole attachment point as the backbone cable, potentially reducing preparation costs and pole attachment fees, reducing visual footprint, while retaining the reliability and fast installation characteristics of ADSS cables." The system is particularly suitable for rural network expansion, providing municipalities and electric cooperatives with a more cost-effective deployment solution for fiber network construction.
VMP Launches ER-HCM Series Horizontal Cable Managers
Video Mount Products introduced the ER-HCM series horizontal cable management system, including the 1U ER-HCM1 and 2U ER-HCM2. The product is suitable for EIA-standard 19-inch racks and cabinets, featuring 1.4-inch wide-spaced fingers to enhance cable management versatility. Keith Fulmer, President of VMP, said: "Effective cable management is one of the most important issues in any rack or cabinet installation. Our new horizontal cable managers provide a powerful management system for various cables." The product also includes pass-through holes for convenient front-to-rear cabling, snap-on covers that can be opened upward or downward, and rounded edges to prevent cable snags, balancing practicality and aesthetics.
ENJOYLink Assists Mian County Smart Data Service Center Construction
At the application level, ENJOYLink announced in October 2022 that it had won the bid for the Smart Data Service Center project in Mian County, Hanzhong City, Shaanxi Province. The project includes more than 2,000 points, all using ENJOYLink's Category 6 unshielded and multimode fiber optic cabling solutions. Lansan Laisi's one-second visible light cabling solution was successfully applied to the second-phase computer room construction project of the China Development Bank Shenzhen Data Center. The first phase of the CDB Shenzhen Data Center faced heavy operation and maintenance workloads due to irregular traditional labeling. The second phase demanded higher data transmission stability and operational convenience. Lansan Laisi deployed visible light Cat6a cables, visible light information modules, visible light copper patch cords, and fiber patch cords at key nodes, along with a QR code label management system, achieving efficient management of front-end and back-end data inspections in the data center computer room. Lansan Laisi's solution helped CDB achieve intelligent upgrades in low-cost operation and maintenance, enabling precise end-to-end identification through visible light cable tracing and reducing human errors associated with traditional cable tracing equipment.
Viper Innovations' CableGuardian Achieves Milestone in Railways
UK-based technology SME Viper Innovations announced that its award-winning CableGuardian signal power monitoring system had reached a sales milestone of 100 units in the year ending March 31, 2022. CableGuardian, developed by Viper in collaboration with UK Network Rail, integrates insulation resistance monitoring and conductor monitoring technology into a single platform, becoming the first Tier 1 cable monitoring system to receive full product approval from Network Rail. The system precisely monitors cable degradation and locates fault points and has been successfully deployed in multiple regions including the Northwest, Midlands, East, South, Wales, and the West of England. By detecting signal power faults early, the system has cumulatively saved over 20,000 minutes of delay and approximately £4 million in penalty payments, while also saving over £100,000 in maintenance costs due to reduced fault location time.
Completes Complex Terrain Installation for German Railway
Complete Composite Systems demonstrated a successful installation of its ARCOSYSTEM® overhead cable management product near the village of Werbig, Berlin, Germany. The project required installing lightweight, robust cable trays in challenging terrain, crossing under and over embankments and railway tracks. Using ARCOSYSTEM®, the project was completed efficiently. The system consists of pultruded cable trays and covers, paired with custom laser-cut brackets, offering both flexibility and durability, able to withstand extreme weather conditions and provide lasting protection for internal cables, thereby enhancing communication infrastructure along the railway.
